# Data sources

Every plan row on VPSLedger carries the official URL it was verified against and the date of the check. Third-party directory data is used only for provider-level metadata (HQ, regions, links), never for prices.

Provider-level fields (headquarters country, operating regions, homepage/pricing URLs, API availability) for the tracked-provider directory are derived from [FindHost](https://www.findhost.app) (findhost.app), whose register is licensed under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Attribution: *FindHost, findhost.app, CC BY 4.0*. Fields we could not verify there are left empty (e.g. HostHatch/GreenCloudVPS currently appear as name-and-domain-only skeletons).

## Held-back (conflicting) data

Some plan data from third-party aggregators conflicts with official pages (disk size, price, or spec differences). Following [our methodology](/methodology/) — unknown beats wrong — such rows are kept in a review queue and are **not published** anywhere on the site until re-verified against the official source. The queue currently holds 4 items.
